Vintage Red

I had this old book shelve and end table but did not like the way they looked anymore so I decided to paint them with the Rust-oleum American Accents Distressed Vintage Red.For some reason I love the deep color of a dark red.I had to put on 2 coats, but I like the darker red.Not bad for a first timer.

Applesauce-Cinnamon Ornaments

Wanted to make something nice for Morgan 2nd grade class for a birthday treat so I decided to ask Morgan what she wanted to make them and she said Rocket cookies since they are the Anna Rockets. So I thought I'd share the recipe for them.
Recipe for Applesauce-Cinnamon Ornaments
1 cup of applesauce
1 cup of cinnamon
2 TBSP of Elmer's Glue
Mix together then roll out the 1/2 inch thick and use a cookie cutter to make the shapes and use a straw to make the holes for string or ribbon.Bake at 200 degrees for 2 hours let them sit over night then you can paint them if you like.Make about 14-16 ornaments. Will post pictures later.

Summer is almost over

Summer is almost over this year has went by so fast.I noticed the other day that the leaves are starting to change at the top of the trees here in Ohio. And you can smell it in the air in the evenings.
